Grandma Ruth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Some recipes feed people. Some recipes feed generations. This is the cookie recipe Grandma Ruth made every Christmas for over 40 years.
Grandma Ruth learned this recipe from her mother in 1962. Every holiday season the smell of vanilla and chocolate chips filled the house before sunrise.
Ingredients: 2¼ cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 cup butter ¾ cup brown sugar ¾ cup white sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 2 cups chocolate chips Instructions: Preheat oven to 375°F Mix dry ingredients Cream butter and sugars Add eggs and vanilla Fold in chocolate chips Bake 9–11 minutes
